Planetary Days and Hours

Did you know that you can use astrology to figure out the best days and times to do something? Planetary hours are amazing!

Each day is ruled by a planet. During said day, you should do things based on that planet to bring productivity into your life. This is why we’re all sleepy and sluggish on Mondays — Monday is ruled by the Moon which is a day that should be spent at home, focusing on ourselves, etc. But instead, we’re at the office, trying to be productive when we should be resting.

To take things further, each hour is also ruled by a particular planet, causing every hour to have its own influence as well. You can use planetary days and hours to figure out the best days and times to do things like clean your house, study, go on a date, schedule important meetings, etc. You can honestly plan your entire life with planetary hours!

You can download the app Time Nomad to track planetary hours. This is what I personally use. The app has a lot of paid features that you can add on, but I believe planetary hours are included in the basic version of the app. Planetaro is also another popular iOS app used to track planetary hours.

Below are recommendations on things to do each day based on the planetary influences. These recommendations can also be applied to the individual hours everyday.

Sunday/Sun - identity, confidence, ambition, creativity, ego, personality

• being creative, posting on social media

• self-expression

• making presentations & public speaking

  • it’s a great time to put yourself in the spotlight and be confident and bold

• setting goals/being productive for yourself

  • Sun hour is great for working on your fame, confidence, popularity, and success as a whole

  • self-promotion as a whole is great for Sun day/hour

• career/employment success

  • especially promotions — ask your boss for a raise during the Sun’s hour!

Monday/Moon - emotions, feelings, intuition, home, family, food, instincts

• cooking, cleaning up or doing anything around the house

• spending time with family or at home in general

  • Monday’s are great for dinner parties!

• intuitive, spiritual work

• emotional work

• self care

  • journaling, meditation, etc.

• taking naps/resting

Tuesday/Mars - passion, energy, aggression, drive, force, competition, ambition

• doing any physical work — especially exercise

• initiating and starting something new

  • use this time to take risks or try things that are adventerous

• taking action and asserting yourself

• doing anything that requires motivation or serious effort

• planning and doing strategic work

• AVOID ARGUMENTS AND CONFLICT — things will 100% be intense

Wednesday/Mercury - thinking, communicating, intellect, awareness, logic, expression

• communicating and being social

  • a great day/hour to have meetings

• thinking/being mentally alert and intellectual activity as a whole

• speaking and writing

• making deals, commerce

• sending important messages

  • emails, letters, signing deals/papers etc.

• studying

  • if there’s material you need to learn, study and focus on it during Mercury’s hour

  • if you can, schedule your tests or important deadlines during Mercury day/hour

Thursday/Jupiter - abundance, luck, spirituality, higher learning, fortune, wealth, law, foreign culture, traveling

• learning and educating yourself on a higher level

  • another great time to study

• launching projects/businesses — anything you want to be successful

• manifesting abundance/wealth

  • making money moves, playing the lottery

  • setting intentions for success in anything (love, money, family, etc)

• spiritual work

  • meditation, astrology, tarot, journaling, praying

• traveling and planning trips

  • the perfect time to study a foreign language/culture

• being generous

  • practicing gratitude, donating money, volunteering

• justice/law/legal matters

  • if you can handle legal matters at this time, it would be best

Friday/Venus - love, money, attraction, beauty, fun, pleasure

• having fun, parties, and entertainment

  • being social period!!

• love, romance, pleasure relationships as a whole — spending time with loved ones and friends

  • Venus day/hour is an especially great time to mediate & reconcile after disagreements

• beauty appointments — nails, hair, skin, cosmetics

  • shopping for anything truly makes sense during Venus’ rule

• financial investments & working with money

  • if you need to ask for money, ask for it during Venus’ hour

Saturday/Saturn - time, lessons, hard work, responsibility, tradition, authority

• handling responsibilities and taking care of business

  • Saturday’s are great to run errands, do chores, and just get stuff done

• tackling projects and unfinished business

  • if you have anything that you need to pick up and finish, do it when Saturn is in charge

• organization and discipline

  • it’s a great time to plan for the future and establish things

• spending time with mentors/elders
